Moroccan boho cactus silk cushion

On our trip through Morocco we just couldn't pass up these vintage-looking pillows!

These traditionally handmade cushions made of cactus silk and cotton come with a practical zipper and are delivered without cushion filling.

The beautiful pillowcases are imported directly from Morocco and made by hand on traditional looms from agave cactus silk and cotton. They are then hand-dyed with natural plant dyes.

The fibers for cactus silk come from the prickly leaves of the Sahara agave cactus, which are harvested, crushed and soaked. These fibers are then traditionally hand-spun to produce the high-quality cactus silk.

Our Sabra cushions are available in different colours and can be wonderfully combined with each other. Decorated with hand-embroidered ornaments, each cushion is a small work of art with its own story. the symbols used have different meanings such as power, love or freedom. Some women from the Atlas Mountains cannot read or write, so they use these special symbols to express themselves.
